I ordered this to use as a gym towel on days I need to shower at the gym. It absorbs nicely, dries quickly, and takes up very little room in my gym bag. I can hang it on a hook to dry, and by the time I change and dry my hair, it's dry enough to put in my gym bag without getting mildew/musty smelling.I would not replace my daily towels at home with this, but it's perfect for the gym or beach.My only complaint is that even after several washes, it leaves lint on everything else in the load if dried in the dryer, so I have just started hanging it to dry after washing. It dries quickly, so that's not a huge deal. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that, it washes well (no shrinking or snagging and the tassels have held up without fraying).I’m strawberry blonde, extremely fair skinned and burn very easily, even doused in 70 SPF sunscreen. I wanted something I could throw over my shoulders & arms while at the pool to give my skin a little more protection in addition to being under an umbrella. This was perfect. Being lightweight means it doesn’t make you hot like towels do. I also found myself dipping it in the water then draping it over myself when it got really hot, which felt sooo good. I’m sure people like these for all kinds of reasons, but it really fit the purpose for me. Seems to be of good quality as well. I’ve washed mine 3 times now & had to put it in the dryer since I didn’t have time to let it hang-dry. Still looks new with no snags, holes or any other issues. Definitely recommend!Love it!I bought it to use at the pool (which it’s great for), but it’s so soft I started to use it as a light summer blanket. Now I need to buy another one!! :)I have mixed feelings about this towel. I love that it's large enough to wrap around me (I’m plus size) but it also folds up to a really small size. It's also soft and dries quickly. But it definitely lacks in absorbency. Last week I took it to water aerobics. I dripped dry for 5 mins or so then wrapped it around my waist and sat on it for another 5-10 mins. I noticed as I was walking home (I was at a neighborhood pool) I was still dripping. A regular towel usually absorbs the water out of my swimsuit enough that I go home semi-dry.I got a Turkish bath towel from this seller a year ago and I loved it so much. (One on the left in the first pic.) This time I found a bit cheaper one from this seller so I tried. A huge disappointment. I should have just gotten the same one I got last year. (Why my new towel looks even older than my a year old bath towel? Lol) This thin towel I got this time does absorb water well, however it’s not that absorbent since this towel is like a paper napkin. It’s cheap for a reason. Lesson learned.To thin for mePretty, soft fabric, love them!These are really thin and feel cheap. Almost like cheese cloth. Of the five I bought, this design was the nicest.Don’t think for one second that Turkish Cotton means quality. These are not good quality and take forever to dry.You get what you pay for! We binned these half way through our holiday.Returned prior to use. Too thin for a beach towel.Very soft it is thin but great for on the beach and an amazing sizeOverall the towels are great and perform as expected. I was disappointed in the 12 oz weight of the fabric. I’ve used heavier Turkish towels in the past and found the heavier version to be more enjoyable to use.Overall this is a good product and it should last. However it lost one star for the weight.Going forward I would recommend opting for a heavier fabric.The packaging sucks and surely isn't good for the environment. However, we won't need to be throwing these towels in our dryer after every use, so that will surely help the planet. These towels are much softer than the other brand of Turkish towels we purchased, but much thinner to. We can't decide which ones we like better. I would say to anyone who's stocking up on beach towels to stop doing what you're doing and get some of these. You'll love 'em and your guests will as well.
